Order Archiving

Archiving orders in eCommerce websites is an important task for any  store manager. Archiving an order allows the administrator to list, and work only with, orders that have not been completed yet. This lets the administrator perform order management operations faster and reduces the overall server load for administration routines.

How to Configure Archive Orders in Magento

  • Log in to your Magento store backend
  • Select System > Configuration
  • In the Configuration panel, Select ‘Sales
  • Click to Expand ‘Orders, Invoices, Shipments, Credit Memos Achieving
  • Complete the following steps:
  1. Set ‘Enabling Achieving’ to Yes
  2. Enter number of days in ‘Archive Order Purchased’ field before the product is archived
  3. Select order status settings in the ‘Order Statuses to be Archive

  • Click ‘Save Config’ to save the changes made

How to View Archive Orders in Magento

  • Select Sales > Archive from Admin panel
  • Click to open any of the archives:
  1. Order
  2. Invoices
  3. Shipment
  4. Credit Memos
  • Apply any of the following functions to an archived document:
  1. Cancel
  2. Hold
  3. Unhold
  4. Print
  5. Move
